Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 September 2026
This policy explains what personal information Haasini Technologies & Services (“HaasiTech”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use our websites and products, why, who else sees it, and the choices you have. It covers haasitech.com, Ullek (ullek.haasitech.com), Tutor (tutor.haasitech.com), HaasiTech sign-in (auth.haasitech.com) and any other HaasiTech product that links here.
1. What we collect
When you sign in
HaasiTech products share one sign-in. You sign in with Google or GitHub; we receive your name and email address from them and use the email to recognise your account. We never see your Google or GitHub password. If you set a password with us (for example when registering an institute), we store only a one-way hash of it.
What you create
- Ullek: the articles, images, comments and likes you publish or add. Published articles are public and show your name as the author.
- Tutor: the information you or your institute enter — see section 4.
- Anything you send us by email.
When you read or use our products
- When an article is viewed or liked, we record the time, the article, the browser type and the IP address the request came from, and the country of the reader as reported by our network provider, Cloudflare. We use this for view counts and country-level statistics. We don’t look up city, region or internet provider, and we don’t send IP addresses to other services for this.
- Our servers keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, requested page and time) for security and troubleshooting.
2. How we use it
- To sign you in and keep your account secure.
- To run the products: publishing and showing articles, and running Tutor for institutes, teachers, students and parents.
- To send service emails you need — sign-in and verification links, invitations, enrollment updates and replies to your messages. We don’t send marketing email without asking.
- To count views and understand, in aggregate, where readers come from.
- To prevent abuse, investigate problems and meet legal obligations.
We don’t sell personal information, we don’t show advertising, and we don’t use your information to build advertising profiles.
3. Who we share it with
Only the services we need to run the products, each limited to its job:
- Cloudflare — carries and protects all traffic to our sites (network, security and DNS), and provides privacy-friendly page statistics that don’t use cookies.
- Resend — delivers the service emails described above.
- Google and GitHub — only if you choose to sign in with them. They learn that you signed in to HaasiTech.
- Hosting — our products run on servers we operate and on cloud servers rented from Amazon Web Services.
Within Tutor, an institute and the people it authorises (such as its administrators and teachers) can see the information about its own students, parents and teachers. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect people’s safety or our rights.
4. Tutor, schools and children
In Tutor, the institute (a tutoring business or school) decides whose information is entered and why; HaasiTech stores and processes it on the institute’s behalf. Depending on what the institute uses, this can include:
- students’ names, email addresses, dates of birth, grade levels and home addresses;
- parent or guardian names, email addresses and phone numbers, and emergency contacts;
- documents uploaded during enrollment (such as report cards);
- placement tests, test answers and scores, homework, grades and teacher feedback;
- lesson schedules and messages between students, parents and teachers;
- invoices and their payment status. Online card payments are not active yet; when they are, card details will be handled by a payment provider and never stored by us.
Many Tutor students are under 18. Institutes must obtain a parent or guardian’s consent before adding a minor, and each enrolled student is linked to a parent or guardian account that can see the child’s information. We use students’ information only to provide Tutor to their institute — never for advertising.
A parent or guardian can ask the institute, or us at [email protected], to see, correct or delete their child’s information.
5. Cookies and browser storage
- Your sign-in is kept in your browser’s storage so you stay signed in; signing out removes it.
- The Ullek editor saves unsaved drafts in your browser so work isn’t lost if a tab closes.
- Cloudflare may set a short-lived security cookie to tell people from automated traffic.
We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
6. How long we keep it
We keep account information and the content you create for as long as your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep something to meet a legal obligation, resolve a dispute or prevent abuse. Tutor information is kept for as long as the institute uses Tutor, or until the institute or a parent asks us to delete it. Copies in backups are overwritten on a rolling basis.
7. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, export or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Depending on where you live (for example the European Union, the United Kingdom or California), the law may give you further rights, including the right to complain to a data-protection authority. Email [email protected] from the address on your account and we’ll respond within 30 days.
8. Security
All our sites use encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to personal information is limited to the people and systems that need it, each Tutor institute’s data is kept separate from every other institute’s, and passwords are stored only as one-way hashes. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we’ll tell you as the law requires.
9. Changes and contact
If we change this policy we’ll update the date above, and for significant changes we’ll tell you in the product or by email. Questions or requests: [email protected].
